Mobile Data Centers for Vietnam and Asia

Although we are still not out of the economic sluming "woods" just yet, things have started to brighten up.  Specifically some regional economies such as Vietnam and Asia. However there is a great lag between the future requirements and current infrastructure especially in the IT arena of these regions.

For example data centers are one of the vehicles which could carry these regions closer to their western counterparts in terms of IT facilities and development. But data center facilities are costly to build and require heavy investment, energy and time. So another option is to use mobile data centers to fulfill the needs in such places without the disadvantages of scale associated with them.

You have likely heard of a data center in a box concept that companies such as IBM, HP and SUN are all promoting. As a side note did you know that these types of mobile data centers are not new. The military utilizes the concept for its ground support and now remote regions are seeing the benefits so that they too can be connected with the world.

This was realized by several companies including DOT VN, EMS and VNNIC who have joined hands to promote and sell mobile data center solutions. DOT VN has acquired exclusive rights to sell such mobile data centers in Vietnam as well as non-exclusive rights in the entire Asian region. This will certainly be a win-win situation for both these regions as well as these companies.

The regions will benefit from the low cost and ease of acquiring mobile data centers from companies who specialize in this area, whilst these companies would earn more revenues and expand by growing into these regions offering solid potential for economic growth. Just imagine how difficult it would be to resist when you can acquire a mobile data center solution for a cost range of few tens of thousand dollars which is hardly anything when compared to the cost of building and setting up a brick and mortar data center.
